10 Things To Do In (and around) Vinton, Iowa

While I'm back visiting the east coast, lots of people have been asking me "What is Iowa like?" and "How do you like it in the Midwest?" Vinton is very similar to New Egypt, actually. Quiet, safe, and probably pretty boring if you're in your 20's and a local. But I happen to be passing through for a year, and have liked it just fine so far. All the Vintonians I've met have been very welcoming, and there are a lot of family-friendly activities to do in the area. I wrote about some in a recent post for the national blog.
